CANON MASTERS
Capturing Every Moment of the World with Canon
Jang Min Seung
Jang Min Seung focuses on the subtle traces of nature in his series Addressee Unknown, meticulously capturing the hidden marks of time and beings beneath the surface. Through close-up images of glass beads embedded in beach sand grains, his work emphasizes the abrasion process over the resulting damages on the surfaces. These images evoke reflections on small human dramas unfolding within the vast spectrum of nature and time. They suggest fragments of memories and wounds that have never arrived are reborn during the time in the ocean, hinting at traces of existence and possibilities of healing. For photography, he primarily uses the Canon EOS R5 Mark II, and for video, a variety of Canon cinema equipment including the EOS C300 and a range of lenses.
